The Boston Marathon has always been a powerful moment for New Balance—but in 2014, it became more than a race. Marking an emotional milestone for the city, New Balance launched the “WE ARE BOSTON” campaign to show solidarity, strength, and pride—despite not being the official sponsor.

The campaign included a limited-edition shoe release, citywide takeovers, and one of New Balance’s largest media buys to date. My role involved graphic design and retail design across high-impact touchpoints that helped bring the message to life—for both runners and spectators. From storefronts to signage, the visual language unified the brand’s presence across Boston in a way that felt both bold and deeply heartfelt.
